22nd May 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,
We’ve had another busy week across both schools and it’s hard to believe that there is now only 7 school weeks left until we break up for the summer holidays! On Monday it was the turn of Y5 and Y6 to take part in a Micro:Bit workshop with Mr Foggett from Yarm School. This session helped them to deepen their understand-ing of coding and programming and was enjoyed by all.
Today was a very special day as Chris Layfield from Open Door Art came into school for his annual visit. Chris is a local artist who has worked with the children previously on collaborative pieces of artwork. This year the focus was on our whole-school approach to spirituality, help-ing children to develop their understanding of key concepts.
Remember that there is not a training day after half term and all children return to school on Monday 1st June.
With best wishes for a relaxing half term break,
Mr. M. Scott Executive Headteacher
