Children are at the heart of what we do. Our committed and inspirational staff go the extra mile to ensure that our children thrive in a happy, safe and supportive environment. This enables them to become confident, independent learners, well-equipped to continue their learning journey when they leave us. We want our children to deepen their thinking and be continuously challenged.

If you would like to find out more about our wonderful federation, please get in touch and arrange a visit. I’d be delighted to share our fantastic schools with you.

Mr. Matthew Scott

Executive Headteacher

We’ve had another busy week across the federation and it has been lovely for the children to enjoy the sunny weather during break and lunchtimes—we’ve finally been able to use the field for both PE and breaktime in addition to Wisdom of the Woods.
It has been a pleasure to welcome three new pupils to Carlton this week—Rafferty joins us in Year 2 and Ru-pert and Drew both join Y3. We’re very impressed with how well they have settled into the routine of a new school.
Don’t forget that next week Y5 and 6 have a cricket festival on Tuesday and Y3 and 4 have a Micro:Bit workshop on Wednesday—all details in the letters sent last week. If you need a new copy just ask at the office.
With best wishes for a peaceful weekend,

Our Christian Vision

Our federation is a nurturing, inclusive family that welcomes those of all faiths, or those with none. As Church of England Schools, we explicitly teach Christian Values and our vision underpins all that we do.

Our Vision and Values

At Carlton & Faceby and Bilsdale Schools we are KIND:

Kind and accepting

Independent learners

Never giving up

Determined to be our personal best

Under God’s guidance, we teach children the importance of kindness towards others, tolerance and mutual respect. This empowers children to have the courage to achieve their personal best.

Psalm 145:17

‘The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works’

Luke 2:40

‘And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom…’
