Dear Parents and Carers,
Although the weather has been changeable this week we’ve still had a fantastic week of learning and activities. Monday was Odd Socks Day to mark the start of anti-bullying week, we saw lots of brilliant combinations where the children truly showed their individuality. On Tuesday it was Armistice Day and the children observed a 2 minute silence at 11am—Carlton as part of their Collective Worship and Bilsdale during their visit to the war memorial to take part in the village Remembrance Service.
Thursday saw KS2’s turn for a trip with the children venturing to The Life Centre in Newcastle, linking to their current science unit. A great time was had by all and the staff were impressed with the children’s behaviour.
The week finished with our fundraising for Children in Need, smashing our target of running 25km around the track! We will give a fundraising update in next week’s newsletter.
With best wishes for a peaceful weekend,
Mr. M. Scott Executive Headteacher
