“. . . with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19: 26
The children would like to welcome you to both Carlton and Faceby and Bilsdale Midcable Chop Gate schools’ website.
We are two small, vibrant Church of England primary schools, located within the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
Children are at the heart of what we do. Our committed and inspirational staff go the extra mile to ensure that our children thrive in a happy, safe and supportive environment enabling them to become confident and well-equipped to continue their learning journey when they leave us. We want our children to deepen their thinking and be continuously challenged.
As two federated Church of England schools, we share our expertise and knowledge but also value the strong partnerships with other schools. We learn from each other and together we are better. Our teachers benefit from the exceptional professional development on offer and also contribute to shape effective learning for our children.
Our motto is ‘Believe and Achieve’. Children value their learning and want to do well. They say that they enjoy the many opportunities to learn outside and they enjoy working with their friends and sharing their learning. Visitors to our schools always comment on the warm and friendly welcome they receive. It is clear that children are proud of their school.
Providing high quality support and development for all members of staff is vital. We invest in our staff and their well-being as well as ensuring the children have access to a range of key people to support their personal development. This includes a SENCo who has over ten years’ experience as an Advisory Teacher, specialising in Specific Learning Difficulties.
Parents and carers are very important to us and we offer opportunities throughout the year for them to gain more insight into how best to help their children.
If you would like to find out more about our schools, please arrange to come and visit us, the children would love to share their schools with you.
