Newsletter 6th February 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

It is lovely to see snowdrops in our gardens. Known as Candlemas Bells, because they bloom early in the year, snowdrops symbolise ‘hope’ according to Christian belief. Candlemas is a Christian holiday celebrated annually on February 2 which primarily focuses on Jesus’ early life. Many Christians believe that following his birth, Jesus’ mother Mary presented him to God at the Temple in Jerusalem at Candlemas. We have been fortunate in having experienced no extreme weather yet this winter. However, as nature can catch us out with a sting in the tail, please find attached a reminder of arrangements should snow or ice affect the schools. Half term is almost here, I would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy break.
Warm wishes,
Mrs. McDonald
