Newsletter 3rd April 2020

Dear Families,
As ever, we aim for our newsletter to be a celebration of the achievement of your fantastic children as well as a little bit of information sharing. It is not that long ago that our teachers were writing the news for February’s newsletter. Many of us would have no knowledge of what March would bring.

Thank you for sharing news of what you have been getting up to at home. I am enjoying reading the writing and seeing pictures of artwork that teachers have emailed me – painting, baking and gardening too! I am sure many of you are listening to news broadcasts and hearing about countries managing varying degrees of lockdown to combat Covid-19. These tough measures taken by many governments to contain the spread of the virus seem effective. We should, however, remain vigilant, continue to pray, and follow government instructions.

Many of you are doing your bit to fight the virus by staying at home which I know is a challenge but it will be worth it when we are all able to get back to normal life later in the year. There are also many key workers who are continuing to work – thank you!

We will continue to check our emails over Easter. Don’t forget to check your junk folders because I know some teachers have been emailing families recently. I have added an addendum to our Child Protection Policy (on our website) containing essential information. The addendum will be updated on a weekly basis.

Crucially, stay safe and enjoy some precious time with you families. You are all doing so well. There is much to look forward to in the future when we will all be back together in school. I am looking forward to seeing and hearing how you have celebrated Easter.

May the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as we learn to pray in every situation (Philippians 4:6–7).

Warm wishes,
Mrs McDonald
